1. Who are the public defendaz and where are you from?
Taktical of Public Defendaz right out of Central California

1. How did you all meet?
Oktapus: I met royal when i moved to the central coast , he linked me with Iyayi, who linked me with tak, we been doin every sence.
Taktical: We all met really through our love of music
Iyayi: Really like Tak said through our of love for music and a mutual love for hip hop that is very deep rooted in all of us. Beyond music were all still friends though.
2. What makes your chemistry as a group work?
Oktapus: The genuine love of music, but the energy we give to each other when we work.
IyayI: We all respect and admire what we hear in each other.
Royal: I think it works cause of all our willingness to learn and grow with each other. Don’t get me wrong though, we bump heads but what group doesn’t.
3. I see your all over twitter, myspace and reverb nation how has the internet helped you getting your product out?
Taktical: it’s definately helped us reach new fans as well as other artist from different areas. I’d say the best part about the internet is that it allows us to stay in contact with the people we’ve met in person.
Royal: It helps because we can reach audiences that we couldn’t physically give our music to or perform for yet so the world wide web gets us out there and we get real feedback and real opinions.
4. Is it surprising to you? have you had fans in places you didn’t expect?
DJ Onebreeze: Always…
IyayI: Yea it’s def a blessing

6. Are you all apart of a bigger crew of mc’s and producers? are there more cats in the pipeline?
Taktical: Nah, it’s PUB DEF all day
Oktapus: W got some other artist and youngins we working with though.
Royal: Not a bigger crew but definately a network of people we collab with, get shows through, do shows with, etc., so there’s defenatly a pipeline of people who haved helped us. And we thank all those who have.
7.how’s life been on the road?
DJ Onebreeze: it’s been exciting and exhausting all at the same time. A lot of good times fa sho. It’s definately something we all enjoy.
Oktapus: Lots of driving, but we getting our music out to the people so it’s worth every mile.
Taktical: Shit was hot driving out here though. hahahahaha
8. what does 2011 have in store for Pub Def?
Taktical: Speedy Trial Vol. 2 coming real soon. We got Onebreeze working on another mixtape. We got about 8 songs recorded for our next album as well as a bunch of collabs on other artist projects. Other than that just touring doing shows and expanding our fanbase.
